"A Season of Carols"

   The Golden Community Choirs presents "A Season of Carols" on Saturday, Dec 3, featuring the Golden Concert Choir and the Children's Choir of Golden.

   The performance will be at 3:00pm, at the First United Methodist Church, 1500 Ford St (one block north of the Golden Safeway).  Tickets are $10 regular, $7 students/seniors, $3 age 6-11, free for under 6.  Group price (5 or more): $6/ticket.

   The Concert Choir will perform:
      - Seven Joys of Christmas by Kirke Mechem; soloist Lindsay Bell 
      - What Sweeter Music by John Rutter
      - Shepherd's Pipe Carol by John Rutter
      - A Consort of Choral Christmas Carols by PDQ Bach:
           O Little Town of Hackensack
           Good King Kong
           Throw the Yule Log On, Uncle John  

   The Children's Choir will present:
      - Antiphonal Hosanna, G. Alan Smith
      - Jubilate Deo, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Arr. Linda Steen Spevacek
      - A Mozart Canon, based on melody by W. A. Mozart, Arr. Donald Moore
      - Angels' Carol, John Rutter
      - A Canine Christmas Concerto, John Carter and May Kay Beall
          (The Twelve Dogs of Christmas)  
      - The Reindeer Rap, Sally K. Albrecht

   The combined choirs will sing: 
      - Slumber, O Holy Jesu by Dale Wood
